Molecular Cardiology Laboratory
The Molecular Cardiology Laboratory at Policlinico San Donato, Italy, has worked for several years on the microRNA involvement in cardiovascular diseases, with a particular attention to microRNAs modulated by hypoxia. In the last few years, we have extended our interests to long non-coding RNAs. Both RNA sequencing and qPCR platforms were used to assess long non-coding RNA levels in hypoxic cells and, in vivo, in acute ischemia response as well as in heart failure.
