Our labs in Munich and Stockholm focus on the therapeutic and biomarker potential of different non-coding RNA subclasses in vascular diseases. Main diseases in focus are atherosclerosis and stroke, as well as aortic aneurysms.

Expertise

Experimental in vivo models of vascular diseases, human biobanks of vascular disease, preclinical large animal model using genetically mutated LDLR-/- mini-pigs, tools to assess smooth muscle cell differentiation and cell fate, aorta-on-a-chip device (3D co-culture system), single cell analysis, dynamic live cell imaging.
